Return to Play- Individual players

Hello All,
I expect you were glad to hear the Government announcement yesterday about Return to Play on June 29th. The centre is very empty without you so we are looking forward to having you back at the soonest.

The Executive plans are well advanced for re-opening Baldoyle, which will be done fully in compliance with the Government requirements. The requirements are pretty onerous for all concerned and many changes will take place in terms of Centre access, nature of play ,hours of Play and presence of Covid officer.

Some of the key changes affecting you are(some temporary) are :

Singles play only allowed
On Line Booking only
Names/record must be held of all players on court prior to play
Disclaimers must be signed by players re state of health.
No doubles/ group bookings

As you prepare to return, there are two tasks I would ask you to do:
We are adhering to the three Protocols from Badminton Ireland, specific to players, coaches and clubs(with a tweak or two the Club protocols apply to the centre). As you are also required to adhere to these, please read the player(or coach) protocol so you know what you can and cannot do .Please also read the club protocol so you understand what we are obliged to do.

All players must be registered on line to book/play and any player booking a game, must include their opponents name to the booking so it will be visible on screen and to enable that ,all players must be registered. If you are not already registered, a tip sheet is attached to help you do so.

The Centre will open on a phased basis and for the first week will be open for a few hours each day and each week (all going well)the hours will be extended.

Badminton Ireland will be updating their guidelines over the coming week ,we will be following closely and will update you as this happens.

We look forward to your return to the Centre
