Go One Step Further

Dear Members,

The key to our success since re-opening post-Covid-19 in Baldoyle Badminton Centre is the collective approach to compliance with both the Government’s Phase 3 Guidelines and Badminton Ireland’s ‘Return to Play’ protocols, and we would like to thank all of you for your continued effort to ensure that Baldoyle Badminton Centre operates within a safe environment.

Given the recent rise in Covid-19 cases in Ireland, we would like to highlight some areas we could all be more diligent on to ensure that the environment remains safe.

Waste:

All items brought on court must be taken home afterwards. This includes, food, drink, shuttles, etc. You are welcome to use the Centre bins outside for this rubbish.

The rubbish bin at the main entrance is only for PPE i.e. antibacterial wipes, gloves, masks, etc. Please do not put food waste, bottles shuttles in same.

Social distancing:

Fresh signage has been put in place around the Centre to draw attention to the need for social distancing. The entrance hall can get crowded so please be particularly careful there and also comply with BI’s protocols on social distancing (no handshakes/high fives, keep 2m distance, wash/sanitise hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes, etc.).

In the case of doubles, pairs should limit close contact as much as possible during play and maintain physical distancing during breaks. Playing partners should remain consistent throughout this phase to limit the potential for spreading Covid-19.

Gear:

Players should not leave gear lying around. All gear should be placed on the seating areas.

Finally, we would like to remind everyone that if they are booking a court, the people they are playing with must register with us at https://baldoylebadminton.mycourts.co.uk/member_registration.asp so that they can be added as players/opponents when making a court booking.

We want to keep the Centre open, and with your continued cooperation, we are confident in doing so.

Yours in Sport,

Baldoyle Badminton Centre
