Bulk Update Consent For Players

Hi All,

As I'm sure you are well aware, in line with the changing requirements with Phase 3 of Ireland's Roadmap for reopening after Covid-19, and from a contact and tracing point of view, we must have a record of everyone who plays on court in Baldoyle Badminton Centre. Therefore, everyone who books a court must add the names of the people they are playing with to the court booking.

However, the main area that has caused some problems for players in this regard is the members' privacy settings on the mycourts booking system. Therefore we have taken advice and have been given approval to bulk change these privacy settings which will allow all bookers to add their opponents/playing partners to the booking sheets.

This decision has been made based on the advice and direction given by the Public Health Authorities.

Please be assured that the data will only be accessed by staff within the Centre to manage courts effectively and efficiently, and in the vital interests of those using the facility. Additionally, on failing to use the Centre after a period of 12 months, players' data will be erased from the booking system.

To ensure this is the case, all staff will be trained in data protection and how to efficiently manage people's personal data.

We appreciate your continued cooperation.

Yours in sport,
Baldoyle Badminton Centre
